Build and edit color palettes on your Mac
Create color palettes from scratch, open and edit existing palette files, or bring together colors from photographs, other applications, and your saved collections.
Suisai gives you precise color controls, flexible palette editing, and a searchable Library that works with files you already have. All in one native macOS application.
No account. No subscription. Your colors stay on your Mac.
Create and fine-tune every color
Work in RGB, HSB, HSL, or CMYK, with sliders, spectrum pickers, and a color wheel. Enter exact values when you know what you're looking for, or experiment visually until you find the shade you want.
Switch between color spaces with S, change between the spectrum and color wheel with W, or press A over a swatch to open its editing controls.
Each color is independently editable, so you can refine your palette without having to start again.
Make your palette your own
A palette is more than a collection of color values. Give individual swatches meaningful names, arrange them in the order you want, and adjust them as your project develops.
Suisai automatically suggests color names from a collection of 31,914 names, matched using OKLab. You can replace those suggestions with your own names, making colors easier to find in the Library and providing useful variable names when exporting stylesheets.
Open several palettes at once and drag colors between them. Build a new collection from existing work, or combine colors from different projects without recreating them manually.
Open the palettes you already have
Already have a collection of palette files? You can open them directly in Suisai without converting them first. Drag an ASE, GPL, CLR, or ACO file into Suisai, or open it directly from Finder. You can also make Suisai the default application for supported palette files, allowing you to open them with a double-click.
ASE, GPL, and CLR files can be opened, edited, and saved back to their original locations. ACO files can also be opened and edited, but changes must be saved as ASE, GPL, or CLR rather than written back to the original ACO file.
For larger collections, add your existing palette folders to Suisai's Library. It indexes supported files where they already live, making your palettes searchable by name, color name, or color value. You can even search for exact, close, or same-hue matches across different collections, without moving your files or importing them into a proprietary database.
Your palettes, ready for other applications
Save your work to its original palette file, or use Save As to choose a new location and format. Save into a watched folder to make your palette part of Suisai's searchable Library.
You can also install palettes into the macOS system color picker, drag individual swatches into compatible design applications, or export complete palettes as stylesheets, code, images, or traditional palette files.
Your palettes remain in formats you can use beyond Suisai. No proprietary lock-in.
A palette is where the work starts
Once you've built your palette, there's plenty more you can do with it. Explore color harmonies, mix new shades, convert palettes between applications, or bring your colors directly into your code.

- Mix and compare colors →Put two of your colors side by side, measure the difference, and mix a third from them.
