Terms of sale and use

These terms cover buying Suisai from this website and using the app. They're written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email support@suisai.design and ask.

Who sells Suisai

Suisai is made and sold by Suisai Design, the registered business name of Shawn Truesdell, a sole trader based in Queensland, Australia. A business name is not a separate company, so the seller behind it is Shawn Truesdell personally. In these terms, "I" and "me" mean him, and "you" means the person buying or using Suisai.

Buying from this website

Purchases from this website are handled by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT wherever you are, and issues your receipt. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the payment itself, alongside these terms.

If you bought Suisai from the Mac App Store, Apple sold it to you, and Apple's terms cover that purchase instead.

Your license

Suisai is a one-time purchase. There's no subscription and no account. Buying it gives you a personal license to use Suisai on the Macs you own or use, with every feature included and free updates for the major version you bought. A future major version may be a paid upgrade.

Your license key is personal to you, so please don't share it or post it anywhere. It carries your name, and Suisai shows that name in its About window.

License keys

Your key is shown as soon as your purchase completes, and it's sent to the email address you gave at checkout. If you lose it, email support@suisai.design from that address and I'll send it again.

Suisai checks your key on your own Mac. It never contacts a server to activate it or check it.

Refunds and revoked licenses

You can ask for a refund within 30 days of buying. How that works is set out in the refund policy.

When a purchase is refunded, charged back or found to be fraudulent, its license is revoked. Because Suisai never checks keys online, a revoked key doesn't stop working straight away. It stops working once an update that includes the revocation is installed.

What you can't do

Please don't share or sell your license key, redistribute Suisai, or modify it to get around its licensing. The palettes and exports you make with Suisai are yours to use however you like.

Your rights under the law

Suisai comes with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and you may have similar rights under the consumer laws where you live. Nothing in these terms limits any of those rights.

Beyond those guarantees, Suisai is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, my liability for anything to do with Suisai is limited to supplying it to you again or refunding what you paid for it.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page changes and so does the date below. The terms in place when you bought Suisai keep covering that purchase.
