Installing Suisai
Suisai needs macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It’s a universal build, so it runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
From the App Store
Open the App Store listing and install as usual. Updates arrive through the App Store.
From a direct download
Download the archive, unzip it, and drag Suisai into your Applications folder. The app checks for its own updates and will tell you when one is ready.
What Suisai asks for
Nothing. It doesn’t need Screen Recording permission to sample colour, because it samples through the system loupe rather than by reading the screen itself. It runs sandboxed, with no network access.
The one prompt you’ll see is a folder grant for ~/Library/Colors, the Mac’s own colour-list
folder. It appears the first time Suisai writes there, which is either your first save of a new
palette or your first Install in Colour Picker…. macOS asks once, and never again.
